Assume they getting ready for whatever this little storm will bring. They have to plan for whatever falls upstream of here. Thats the general answer Ive received ever. You fishing in this wather, Fur?

No. I thought about going Sauger fishing in the morning, but then I came to my senses.

I assumed maybe it had to do with trying to keep the power being supplied met with what is needed and being used.
That's just a guess. Either way it is as low right now as I've seen in a long time. It's been low the last couple of weeks and today was even lower. Crossing North Sauty refuge on my way home I saw stumps sticking up in places where I've never seen them stick up.

No. I thought about going Sauger fishing in the morning, but then I came to my senses. Shooooweeeee that would be chilly. I've numerous people tell me about Sauger fishing. I've never done and wouldn't know where to start, but will piddle with it one day.

Was thinking this morning it would be a great day to be smallmouth fishing, with this front moving in spitting snow and ice. Probably for sauger, too.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

I've been told 15 different reasons from 15 different folks who were supposedly "in the know" but, for whatever reason, the river level below the dam is always kept low this time of year and has been for as long as I can remember.

That is very surprising. Where does most of our power come from? Cant be answered cause the power grid is connected. TVA could have bought power weeks ago from somewhere up north to be prepared for the extra load. You just never know.

I've been told 15 different reasons from 15 different folks who were supposedly "in the know" but, for whatever reason, the river level below the dam is always kept low this time of year and has been for as long as I can remember. Wilson Lake is not very big at all and can't store water like Guntersville. It's kept low to help prevent flooding if and when Guntersville has to release lots of water.

Dont most of the power come from coal and new-clear. Very little coal fired TVA power now, if any. Colbert Steam Plant shut down a good while back and just the other day Johnsnville TN coal plant closed it's doors. Natural gas has replaced coal for firing steam plants. Nuke plants are where most generation comes from.
