I thought I had a taxidermist picked out but David’s taxidermy has been recommend to me by a good friend and he is a lot closer to me. I saw a couple of his mounts and they looked great. For those that have used him, how long did you wait and are you happy with the work? What is he currently charging for a shoulder mount?

Thanks!

I am very happy with mine. The deer I shot had some type of mange, so he even had to use a different cape for the mount. I believe mine was in the $450 range. I took it to him at the end of January and picked it up in August(?). Been a couple of years, so I cannot remember exactly.

His work is very good. He mounted one for me several years ago and it still looks great.

Very good work. I've got one that David did in 2004 that looks great. Good processor also.

We have 7 that he has mounted over the years for us. He does good work but be prepared to wait for it. David gets all my taxidermy work period.

I have seen his work and it looks good. I THINK he told me it was 400 for a shoulder mount. but i couldn't guarantee that. I use them as a processor and I have been happy.

He has done 3 bucks, 3 bass, a bream and fox squirrel for me years ago and they all still look good. Back then he charged $300 a deer. I've heard $450 now.

He charges $450 on shoulder mounts. I dropped one off with him the first of December. It will be my first mounted by him, but he has mounted a couple for my brother and they look great!

I have had several deer, turkey and fish mounted by David. He does good work and he's a good guy as well.

David has mounted 3 of mine. They’ve generally been ready the following summer, 6-9mo turn around is plenty fast enough. I’d be very leery of anything quicker than that.
