Thanks for the info guys. I guess what i need to do is keep my 7mag and try to find a beat up rem 7mag on the cheap that i can take the action and do with it what i want.
Shuter, you are right about the 6.5 . My grandfather has an improved 6.5rem mag that will be mine one day or I would seriously consider that route.
