All turnips and brassicas will die in this kind of weather. That field is gonna be a stinking mess of a goo once it thaws out.

The biologic radishes. Not sure exactly what they are. They have the big carrot looking bulb. I will say they have done very well in wet area's where turnips have done poor in the past.

Big ole white roots? They are probably daikon radishes. You should pull a couple and make some quick pickles outta them.

To be honest I didn't even know we planted them. Everyone showed up to planting day with whatever seed they wanted to bring.

I was surprised at how fast these things grow. The deer were eating on them recently, but I'm sure ours are all wilted up now too.

You may be surprised. I've read deer dig them up in colder northern areas. Those look awesome Mandeer. The deer on the place I leased wouldn't dig turnip roots up.

I plant them as a cover crop on our farm every year and have yet to see any deer browsing them but they’re a dang good cover crop, great for compaction.

We have deer pulling/pawing them up and eating half of the smaller roots.
