What some options for heating a open shop about 18' tall from time to time. Its a metal building with 3" insulation roof and walls. I'm having a get together this weekend and want it to be comfortable. It does not have to be 75 degrees but would like to make it warm inside.

Put a bunch of women in there. The hot air will heat it in no time.

I like the diesel torpedo heaters because they don't put out the moisture of propane but they are loud and put out an odor. It doesn't bother me but some don't like it. Those propane patio heaters work pretty well but you would need a couple of them maybe 3 in space like that. They are much quieter for parties and such.

Hey i dont know if you wanna split wood or not but you can get on craigslist and find a used fireplace insert for cheap an it has a blower an everthang. I just bought a used one to put in my house and it is awsome and cost about a tenth of a new one. Mine will heat about 3000sq ft. My cousin bought one and put it in his shop and it will run you out. He just stuck it in the corner of the building and ran 6in pipe up and out the side of the tin and he put some mortar around the pipe to seal it. Works great

You can rent the torpedo heaters from sunbelt rentals. Get it good and warm with one of those and the patio heaters should keep it comfortable for a while. The torpedo heaters are annoyingly noisy but heat well.

Gonna be cold as a well digger's ass this weekend. You'll definitely need a good heater.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

Look on gov liquidation for a M82 heater they are a diesel fired heat exchanger requires 120 volt for forced air 120,000 btu made for heating tents in the military you can usually get one with 1-20 hours on it for 200-300 and man they will heat and since they are heat exchanger there is no chance of Carbon monoxide or diesel smell.

An overhead gas heater with a blower would be ideal.

I think I have it figured out. I have a friend with a torpedo but they are just to loud. I'm having some folks over and I am going to set up some vangaurds and some fans to circulate the air. Maybe that will keep it bearable.
