We have had lots of discussion on gamecheck, deer numbers, and restrictions. What is really missing is an articulated direction from those in control. It is impossible for people to get on board, if they don't know what the goal and plan are. We need to know what the State's objective is, what constitutes a healthy State herd, what kind of numbers would be in each age class, what kind of numbers would be good for each county, what kind of real data will the State use to determine if numbers are acceptable, and what can we do to reach the goals. We can't even agree as to whether we should be regulated are not, much less what the regulations should be. But, we might come much closer to agreeing, if the State articulated a rationale plan based on real figures.
