Have you look what Piebaldism is --It not a good Gene.
Piebald and albino - the latter of which truly is a genetic problem - are not the same. Albino deer have genetic issues and should be killed, truly to get them out of the poplation. Yet too many folks camp in the emotional, passion-spurred "Oh, they're sacred special spirit animals" and lose their damned minds if someone lifts a finger against it. Folks talk about management and "herd health" and all this stuff yet protect something that is seriously screwed up and not good genetically for the population.

We got a piebald doe on our Bullock county tract we've watched for 2 years. Had dozens of chances to kill it but everyone passed so far. Now I don't know about the neighbors. I haven't seen her in a couple of weeks so she might have gotten killed by now.

Piebald is a genetic problem as well. I am not going to say it will severely damage your herd but you do see the short legs and smaller body size on most piebald deer. It is not a healthy condition overall. Have you look what Piebaldism is --It not a good Gene.

You may as well shoot it, if not, mother nature/natural selection will eventually take care of it any way. As much as they stand out I'm surprised they don't fall to natural predators at an early age.
