AC870, I had a M77 Compact in 308 and that gun stomped my ass something serious.
I'm not Mr. HeMan but ya wow that thing was rough. Thanks for the tip. I had a M77 Frontier in 7mm-08 that I enjoyed a lot and killed several deer with. I traded it and probably should have kept it. It was very heavy for its length though. I’ve owned a couple Ruger American Compacts in .308. They had a bit of recoil but not turrible. I think the .308 may be greatest deer caliber ever.
