I actually hit one north of Vincent, Alabama last Wednesday with the company car. I killed it instantly but posed the same question to the St. Clair County Deputy. He said he wouldn't have cared if I had put it down but then said he's not sure what a GW would tell me.

I - I mean, a guy I know - watched a nice 8 point hit the side of a lady's Expedition, then flip over the top and land on the other side 6 years ago on Cecil Ashburn going over the mountain. It was heavy traffic and the poor thing was was flailing and flopping and making god awful sounds and it was quite the scene, so I dragged it to the side and cut it's throat. Not the most fun thing I've ever done but I felt like it was the right decision.
