ok, here is the Aerial with topo over top. Red marker is the foodplot where 3F is getting pics of a couple shooter bucks. Hardwoods to the west, a strip of thinned pines to the east and pine thicket behind the thinned pines. Mark it up boys!

I've resorted to Eeny, meeny, miny, moe for where I sit. Seems to work better than trying to figure those deer out.

If you look at the eastern side of the map there seems to be a logging road through the pines..That's where I'd be. Between the two 2 600' marks there seems to be a depression according to the topo lines. That's where I'd would expect to find deer crossings. WALK that entire road and find the most deer tracks crossing it, then back up to the south where you can cover the most of the road crossings with a North wind in your face. Don't know how big the trees are, if you can get in a stand then great if not then build you a ground blind. Have a steady rest and be ready. When your deer steps out...hollar at him/her and you'll have time to bust one. You may need to trim some limbs to make it work. Typically I have more success in the mornings on a spot like that but you never know. Good Luck!! Side note...I'd leave that game camera at the house...you know what's there now. Get'em.

No kidding. I can’t believe Southwood wouldn’t take his buddy to his hot spot on Cahaba and help him kill a deer.

LOL! Oh trust me, he claims that he does.

I told y'all earlier in the year we passed a real good buck on the side of the road going to "one of his best spots." It's amazing that the buck we passed that morning looks just like the stud he killed last week. Come to think of it now, I don't know that I've ever even seen a deer when I go hunt with him...

Also have plans to get in those hardwoods around the acorns soon.

Power line with the wind right, but you may have to camp out. They will cross it eventually. When it's bad cold, stay all day.

Deer have started to hit the water oaks at my house. Just watched two does in the front yard.

We got close this morning. We on them now.

It's just a matter of how many times this old boy wants to play dumb enough for the adventures of frick and frack to catch up to him.
