What do y'all do other other than killing deer? I don't get many off days but when I do I like to wood work and I am always doing something at the house..I also like to metal detect when time allows.. I have a pretty boring life.. My kids keep me busy most of the time.

Huntings my passion. Not just the killing, I love just running around. I start pretty heavy late July scouting new elk spots. Archery season is late August to late Sept. Evey off day I hit the woods. Then its deer. As soon as that ends, I glass for gun elk hunters. Now that is over so ill hunt waterfowl until mid-march. Shooting my bows is a fun thing too. If I'm not doing that, I try running the wife around the house naked! I gotta side gig trapping moles on the farm. Pays for all my hunting stuff and I shoot lots of nutria. Killed 4 yesterday.

I hunt stuff. Not much time for anything else. Spending time with my kids and attending their activities is important. Not sure I'd call that a hobby though. That's parenthood.

I like looking for artifacts and shooting. Just don't get to much.

haleyville al,
Family and fishing. Lot of people don't think of family as a hobby but I had rather be with them more than anything elese.

I used to look for arrowheads but don't much anymore since all my best spots are in pine trees now. I also have a couple of small salt water aquariums I keep, but am woefully behind on the maintenance on them and I don't see myself catching up anytime during hunting season. On occasion I've been known to use my spare time to build a shooting house or two.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Thats my favorite hobby followed by:

Shooting bows
Blowing stuff up
Grilling / smoking large chunk of meat

Drinking and floating in the pool
And whatever else the kids can talk me into which usually ends up reminding me that Im not as young as I used to be.

The secret to a long marriage is to keep on dating, just as you did before marriage. We have "date night" once a week.
Hers is Saturday, mine is Thursday.

The only time a married woman gives those is if your not married to them!

Hanging with the family which includes all the kids sports activities. Football, basketball, wrestling, and I hear track (mostly to keep in shape for football/wrestling). When we aren't chasing organized sports, we like to fish/boat and camp out at the lake. Basically, anything with the family.

Most everything I do I try to include the family. Our kids keep us busy with sports when theyre not waiting for hunting season to roll around. The only thing that I do that I cant always include them is offshore fishing. Id rather wet a hook than breathe on most days. Ive reloaded a little but never got into that a lot and trapping interests me but theres only so much time in the day.

Since the kids came along Ive had to cut down on them but when I get a bit of free time I like to make knives and the occasional turkey pot call.

Hunting really consumes most of my off time though
