I bought a new scope to put on my .300 mag so I could hunt some clear cuts this year. I used to shoot it a lot but not so much the last few years. I bought a sled to take some of the recoil off my shoulder to sight it in. I found myself "hugging" up on the sled to control it. Could hardly get it to shoot for nothing. Wouldn't group to save my life. Same gun I used to shoot 500 yard silhouette with so I know it will shoot.
Finally realized what I was doing and changed to bags. Had it shooting dead nuts in no time. Last 5 shots before I left the range were 5 hits on the 300 yard plate. Don't plan to use that sled much anymore. Maybe it was the sled. Maybe your trigger finger just had a bad day.

What you do today, you have to sleep with tonight.
