had thursday off, and headed down to our place for the day. got out early, and the spots were schooling everywhere. Deep, shallow, middle of the river. Started around a seawall and some grass and didn't leave for about an hour. Caught 12 fish in the first 30-45 minutes or so. All but one were spots, but good spots 2 1/2-3lbs. One good large mouth 3 1/4 -31/2. They finally cooled off, and i headed to another seawall, caught 5 more. 2 largemouth, and 3 spots. It's fun having good spots stretch your line all morning!

You got that right! You could hook a Coosa River spot to a Tennessee River smallmouth tail to tail and it would pull it upstream. laugh

Pretty fish Loomis!

I'd take 5 of those this next weekend on Lay. Gawd I have a horrible time fishing there.. I guess because I don't get up there that much.

I got to get down there and catch some of those coosa spots to put in the pond I fish. I'll take a 4lb spot over a 7lb lm any day. Nothing fights like a coosa spot.
