Mrs. Irish and I were in Bass Pro Shops yesterday. She was looking at clothes and if you know women this can take decades, so I was browsing around the store. I didn't need anything so I was just looking. Stopped by the cooler section and they have what appears to be a Yeti soft sided lunch box. No kidding it was about the size of a lunch box. It was $200. loco I had to double check the price. Unreal.

I have a 3 RTIC coolers and bought them all on clearance. I have just a little bit more than $200 in all 3. I have a 45 and a 20 hard sided and a smaller soft sided cooler. They have been great.

I guess if they still made those it would cost more than a yeti. But those were indestructible and kept ice for a month.

I bought the Igloo Sportsman 40 for $99 at Sam's two years ago. I have had no issues and as long as you are not opening every 5 minutes, you can easily get two days.
It has the no slide bottom and it is the perfect height for the bow of my boat and for me to sit and run the trolling motor on my Kenner.

No meth heads have tried to break in my truck or house to steal it yet either.

I got an Rtic last year and it has served me very well. I can't justify paying the money charged for a yeti when I can get the same cheaper through another brand.

I came, I saw, so I killed them all......Vern

I haven't tried them all but hauling meat across the country, I've found rtic and pelican to be as good as yeti. K2 seems to be a little bit below those others. This is in the 50-80 qt range.

I doubt if these new replica Coleman's are the same quality as the ones I remember. But I'm fixing to buy one of them vintage Coleman's from ebay.
I remember traveling all over the country, to motorcycle races, 40 years ago. My dad's old green Coleman had been banged around in the back of our 65 Chevy step side for thousands of miles and you couldn't even tell it used to be green. But it kept those Miller ponies ice cold for a week or longer in the hot summer. Me & my cousin, both 6 or 8 years old, would sneak around and steal a pony a week after the races and they'd still freeze our fingers.
Good times.

I can’t justify spending all that money on a yeti. Ain’t no way. Plain Jane igloo works just fine. I can buy a lot of ice for the price of a yeti

I would rather be tried by 12, than carried by 6.

How long do you need ice to keep?

That's why I bought my orca. Our club isn't close to anything and I didn't want to waste an hour going to the store and back... I've still got 2/3 the ice that i bought Friday afternoon
