is a raging dumpster fire. The only solution is to FIRE EVERYBODY.....from US Soccer President Sunil Gulati all the way down to the lowest level janitor or maintenance man. This includes every player too, with the only exceptions being Christian Pulisic and Bobby Wood. They are the ONLY two people in the entire US Soccer organization that are worth keeping.

They are Noah and his family...they are the only ones worth saving from the cleansing flood we need to wipe out US Soccer so we can start fresh from the ground up.

I mean c'mon............Trinidad & Tobago can field a better team than the United States??? and it wasn't even their first team, it was their backups!

If they stopped playing soccer today I really wouldn't care, but with that being said, the US soccer team sucks and they probably do need to start over. Problem is too many american's on the team. LOL

This just means we should get rid of soccer, period, worldwide.

The problem is that soccer has become a rich person's sport in the US.....a large portion of the talent pool is totally priced out of the sport very early on. In virtually every other country in the world, professional soccer clubs and the national team run academies where they bring players in to develop their skills, at little or no expense to the player/family. In the US, spots in such clubs are limited and expensive, as is the travel that is often required, which means a large portion of the population is simply priced out of it before they can even get started.

Our entire system is ass-backward.

I never could get into watching kickball.

Soccer is anti-American...for folks that kneel for the National Anthem.

Really? 'cause last night I noticed every player stood with their hand over their heart and sang along to the national anthem.

I'd rather paint or watch grass grow. I know my opinion wasn't asked for but I gave anyway.

I think some of you are letting your [irrational] hatred of soccer take precedence over national pride. I don't have any interest in women's synchronized swimming, but if the US is going to compete in it, then dammit I want them to be better than everyone else.

And with soccer, even if you don't like it or take it seriously, the rest of the world does....and I definitely want to be better than the rest of the world at something they take seriously.

I want The USA to win if we are in a Tiddlywinks Tournament, but I won't be losing any sleep over this.

At least thousands of Americans won’t have to pretend to like soccer and chant USA! USA! USA! Even though they don’t know any of the rules.

I don’t follow or watch soccer but there was a couple of guys in the office yesterday saying the there was no way Trinidad Would beat USA

There shouldn't have been......they lost their last 7 or 8 in a row, they're in last place in their division, and this wasn't even their 1st team. And we didn't even have to beat them.....if we tie them, we're in. and we choked.

Lack of interest= lack of success.I never hear soccer being discussed anywhere unless it's a child's rec team.

I hear you Gomer! I did not see the game but was appalled at the outcome. No way Trinidad should have won that game. I don't know what time the other two games started, but I feel like there could have been some collusion after the US result, to keep the gringos out of the WC.


Most of the folks around here don't like soccer because they don't understand the way the game is played. And there are way more than a few thousand that like and follow the game here in Alabama.
