I just read that we are not allowed to shoot a doe for the first 10 days of the season this year. That is complete BS. If their logic is that they are still nursing fawns, well I have pics of does that have not even dropped their fawns yet, much less quit nursing them. I don't know many ethical bow hunters that would shoot a doe that has spotted fawn with her to begin with.
Just pisses me off. Needed to vent.

Well, I for one would never shoot a doe that has a fawn with her. But if a big ole doe came by me without a fawn, I would like to be able to put her in the freezer. Not sure how the extra days at the end of the season have any correlation to not being allowed to shoot a doe the first 10 days of the season.
We have too many doe as it is now. I guess I should have read the book a little closer last year or just not read it again this year.

If a shooter bucks comes by I will gladly shoot one, but I would prefer to eat a doe. I guess it is what it is.

What was said was bucks only for the first 10 days. Since season didn't start until the 25th in 2015, then it wasn't bucks only. Like I said before, this is the second year that it is bucks only for the first 10 days. Not the third.
