We had some neighbors buy the place next door and build a couple houses kinda close so we had not mowed or planted this spot in 2-3 years. I mowed-and-throwed it this morning and stuck a ladder up. It's an old pond that only holds water in winter. I got to thinking it just might make a little bow spot to hunt sparingly. There were a ton of tracks in the slightly damp "deep end." I'm kind of excited about reclaiming "the new old plot."
