The Ceolocanth was supposed to be extinct for 65 million and yet in 1938 a school of them are found thriving of the coast of Africa. 65 million years is plenty enough time for something to evolve and yet no change


When the species' environment remains stable, then genetic "improvements" or adaptations aren't necessary. That's why gators live in the swamp, and penguins live in the antarctic.

So the environment didn't change over 65 million years??
