Tebow contributed greatly to Meyer's success, but wasn't the sole reason he's a great coach.
Meyer-Florida -- Won to the 2006 national championship with a team that was in the preseason Top 10 in many polls, following a 9-3 season in 2005, and had great players ... who came because of great coaching strategies, history and beautiful chicks crawling around the Gainesville campus. Won another title and was in the mix for others.
Meyer-Utah - the team never had done anything significant, but he recruited well and put them in contention for the BCS title. Finished his final season 12-0 with a Fiesta Bowl win, the first appearance in a BCS bowl by a non-AQ school. Since then, Utah has beaten Alabama but haven't done much else.
Meyer-Bowling Green - Compiled a 17-6 record in two seasons at a school that traditionally does zilch. Championship? No. But BG never did as much before or after he was there.
I agree with you about Chiz/Malz not winning another c'ship. Newton was a special player who won some games for them they would have lost.

Not trying to 'tear down AU's NC' but the only reason awbren won the thing last year was bc of Cam. He single handedly won a couple of games that Caudle or Trotter wouldn't have and with those as losses, AU wouldn't have played for it. I do agree that Cam is a freak...enjoying watching him in the pros. They only won because of cam? So if fairley or Dyer goes down they still win it with just cam? It amazes me how a fans hatred for another team can make them say such stupid things. Ok, lets say that cam was the whole team and the rest weren't any factor at all ( I feel like a retard just typing that ). Does it count less in the record books or is it just something bama fans say to soothe the burn?

I think we have a winner. Try and keep up...AU won a couple of games last year that they wouldn't have if someone else were QB and it kept their NC hopes alive. IMO, Caudle nor Trotter were capable of some of the heroics and athleticism that Cam displayed in a couple of games. They couldn't have made the throws against Clemson or Bama to say the say the least. Fairley and Dyer were/are great players and contributed to the last year's success but not with the same magnitude as your Heisman trophy winner.

Soooo, they won a couple games because of great play from a great player. That makes it worth less? You don't think Alabama could credit a couple of their umpteen NC to the same thing? Any way you spin it it is just bama fans petty way of trying to pacify themselves that it will never happen again. The same thing they always said before it did happen.

If you think Alabama would have won those NC those years without Namath, stabler, Starr you are a blind Homer or an idiot. Either way.....

Cam was not the only reason AU won the 2010 National Championship, but they sure as heck wouldn't have won it without him.
I am not so sure you can say the same about any other single player on the roster...or coach for that matter.
...and since the NCAA cleared AU/Cam, I have never seen anyone that says the c'ship is "worth any less" than any other. That is just hater paranoia speaking. ...mean ole Bammers trying to keep Auburn down.

Alabama never came close to sniffing a championship with Bart Starr at qb.

Funny how Urban had to get away from the game, get back to his family, whatever...
He ran the hell away from the SEC and now he is ready to go again. Is he all healthy now? Family getting boring?
He jumped off of a sinking ship and tried to blame it on other reasons. LMAO.

Just saw him state that he had not been offered a job: as such he wasn't going to OSU.
