Here is something folks need to understand. When the front picks up the storm and turns it north, it is going to move north really fast like Opal did. If Irma makes landfall as a Cat4or5 it may still be a Cat 2 some 150 or more miles inland. Opal was still blowing 75-90mph winds over Montgomery and Auburn.

Opal (I think it was her), did a lot of wind damage here in north bama. Lots of cotton was picked and there were module covers ripped and scattered everywhere.
The harder I practice, the luckier I get.

Opal, tore stuff up all over Alabama.

It could be a cat 5 and I would say the same thing. Prepare, plan, and execute. Thank you. The level of panic is silly. There's a freakin cat 4 hurricane that will most likely make land fall in the southern states with in the week and no one knows where it will hit. There's nothing silly about that. People are about to loose there life's, house's, business, loved ones, ect.

Opal was still blowing 75-90mph winds over Montgomery and Auburn. I think Opal had high 90's all the way up to Birmingham.
