I Have been "hunting" since 2013.
3 does. 3 "bucks"
I went on my first hunt in January of 2013 on a friends lease, I had an opportunity but never had a clear shot.
I was out of a job in the fall of that year and another friend took me. I shot a fork horn at 10 yards with a muzzle loader.
In 2014 back at work, and I had been sucked in. My uncle had some property and was willing to let me hunt it, my parents had some small acreage and I could hunt there too. I worked really hard on learning to shoot a bow, and on November 9 of that year I took my first (and only) with a bow. A doe at 25 yards. Nov 28 of '14 I took a 7 point with my rifle. I shot what I was sure was a doe on 28th of December, turned out to be a 130 pound button buck. This was my first season of hunting by myself and my best yet. Lots of beginner's luck.
I hit a doe in the shoulder with an arrow on opening day of 2015 and never found her, but the arrow had less than 2 inches of penetration. Calendar year of 2015 was void of any deer, but on January 9th of '16 at a friends farm I took a doe with my 30-30.
The next, final and most recent deer I shot was Dec 27 at the same farm of '16 and again another doe.
I've spent a lot of time on my food plots, and trying to scout and understand the terrain, so hopefully I'll be able to put some down this season.

I been hunting roughly 40 Years, plus I'm lucky to remember what I did yesterday. I haven't got a clue how many deer I've kilt.
My opinions and comments are my own. They do not reflect the position or political opinions of Aldeer or any of the Aldeer administration.

Probably 50. I've been hunting deer about 23 years and usually put 2 per year in the freezer but have certainly killed more than that a few years.
I'll never forget the first year Alabama increased the doe harvest to 2 per day. I was by myself at my club on a Monday morning and killed 2 full grown does in an area not accessible by truck. That was the last time I ever shot 2 deer in one day. Never again. I just don't like dragging and cleaning deer that much.

I've hunted deer for 56 years (I'm 70) and have killed 87 deer. I have an Excel spreadsheet with the year, description of the deer, weight, type of weapon and location of the kill. My two biggest whitetails were a 160 P&Y 10 pointer and a 167 3/8 P&Y 12 pointer, both killed with a bow. They're the only ones I've entered in Pope & Young, because the P&Y certificates are so cool.
