Seam tape, old iron and get er done..As long as it's not Berber you can patch it and it won t be very noticeable. Maybe to you and slayer, but his wife will see it as soon as opens the front door. She will talk about it til hardwoods are Installed. ![laugh laugh](/forum/images/graemlins/default/laugh.gif) This is most likely how it will go down. Probably but I have seamed a good bit of carpet and as long as you cut the patch the right way, and lay it where the nap is the same, and make sure you have seam tape all the way around it, it won t be that noticeable. Now that's as long as it is more of a shag type carpet.Any kinda tight knit you might as well tear it all up and lay something else. You gonna have to start at one corner with the iron melting the glue on the tape and heat and push down on one side at a time so the glue adheres good.Dont try and run over all the tape with the iron then try and make the whole piece stick. Also when you get done bump all around where it's seamed with a hammer lightly then after it dries get you a dull knife or something and kinda pick at the knits and kinda fluff em.You can make it dang near unnoticeable if you do it right with the right carpet. So how much would you charge for that type repair? I'm always looking for a new carpet guy! ![rofl rofl](/forum/images/graemlins/default/roflmao.gif)
