Clem you are talking about two different things. Danny Joes are FLOATING worms. I think gamblers are too. Trick worms are made to sink. 300 who the hell uses a wire hook on a trick worm? that's asking for trouble. Big bass are very susceptible to trick worms whenever they are shallow. The best places to use them are around trash, boat docks and wood(stumps,laydowns) I've seen guys fish them on 10 lb test. I use 15 or 20 big game depending on the lake. On clear waters like Smith, Marin or Tuscaloosa Seaguar Fluorocarbon. No trick worm is as good as the 8' Crème scoundrel. The very best guys at fishing this way are from the Tuscaloosa area.
