Zero. I enjoy watching other people burn their money.

I hope all these people all over the country crying about their trembling dogs would remember that we have service members with PTSD or other flashbacks who have problems on the 4th with all the booming fireworks and flashes.

I was at an event back in the late 1990s at which some giant stage flashpots boomed with flashes of silver light like a sparkler the size of a telephone pole. Multiple times. Friend of mine who served in Vietnam had to be helped out because it scared the chit out of him. Another one couldn't attend because he'd been told of the stage show beforehand.

Precious snookums wookums puppywuppy furbaby child ain't the only one who has issues with all these fireworks every year.

Does that make it less a problem with dogs?

What does one have to do with the other?

I feel for the veterans, but I don't have 2 of them living in my house

This is the first year I have heard so much about dogs and fireworks. Anyone else agree?? My dogs were hunting dogs and were trained to be OK with loud bangs. They would watch fireworks with the family and not freak out...

man, with all these replies you would have thought it was Jewish new years instead of America's birthday. wink

I spent about $150 this go around. typical amount seems to stay between $100-$150. if $150 once a year hurts that bad you got bigger problems than fireworks or sissy dogs. laugh

Zero - Directly

Indirectly ??? - Our small town put on an impressive fireworks display. I am assuming it was funded with taxpayer dollars, but I don't know for certain.

Way back, I used to spend about $50 or so. Now, if I could still buy real M80's and cherry bombs, I might still buy a few of them, just for fun. Fireworks are like guns. Some people don't give them the proper respect and pay the price.
