I have not had a subscription in years, but am considering getting a couple started back.

I am mostly interested in white tial but also some western hunting like elk and mule deer. Alaska is a dream but like reading about it. Also some good gear/gun reviews. I have bought a few over the last year but hard to get a feel so far.

I have gotten them all over thr years and used to really enjoy Outdoor Life, but that was a decade ago.

"Bow Hunting" is one I am close to pulling the trigger to signing up for right now.

Thoughts? Any that are just hands down better?

Go to Amazon and look at all of their outdoor subscriptions. They were about $10yr couple years ago. I had outdoorlife & Field & Stream. Basically the same ole schit in all of them. 5 good articles and a billion advertisements.

central ala,
Buckmasters! Seriously, in my opinion as far as whitetails goes, none. The reason I say that that back in the 70's and 80's there was a lot being found out about deer. Good useful info. In the 90's there was less new info coming out and the mags started swinging toward advertising. Today, even less new helpful hunting info and the mags have turned into one big advertisement.

I just read the online stuff, especially Field & Stream.
