And they are testing them at full speed on 331 just south of Montgomery. The dang things dont move right and almost made me run-off the road at 65mph. They are running them with their hazard lights on in groups of three cars making all-kinds of weird lane changes right in the middle of active living traffic, and it freaked me the heck out.

Sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen. That has to be against some sort of law.

Mercedes did a much better job - I just looked over after it got out of the left lane and went "WTF????!!!!" About three or four miles from the factory on I-20/59.

I wonder if Honda is doing the same thing around Lincoln?

I saw some of them yesterday afternoon, and they had that whole southbound lane of traffic jacked up. Thats a terrible spot to test that because they have to merge across two lanes of traffic in about 200 yards to get into the turning lane to their parking area. This new parking area is a couple of pastures they bought or leased. After that rain last week, I don't know how they got cars out there. Those pastures are slam full of cars though and they've got at least one mpd car there at all times

I've seen that driverless Mercedes in about the same spot near the factory. Drove by it and noticed nobody in the drivers seat. Pretty strange.

In Montgomery a few weeks ago, I was driving on I-85 and a guy in a brown Tesla passed me in the left lane. He was texting with both hands. Must of had the car on auto pilot.

Scared the snot out of me. I wasn't aware we had any driverless autos in country at that time. There was no one in the drivers seat, the passenger seat or the back seats.

Everyone has driverless cars. They're here and they're only going to become more prevalent.

The world is changing and it doesn't care what you think.

If a driverless car speeds, does it pull over if a cop signals it to?

Would it make a noise if no one was around to hear it, same as a tree falling?

I don't think anyone was bemoaning the fact. I know I wasn't - I'm looking forward to getting in the car to go to work and going to work. Get paid from out the door to back in the door.

Or get a little friend action on the way to the beach/mountains/club/grand canyon/whatever.

Post on a discussion forum if you want.

Couldn't be worse than the idiot practicing interpretive dance moves, blaring hip-hop, and driving with a knee.

IDOT how many miles do you average weekly? I'm sure quite a few being a distributor rep.
Right now I'm at 1,100 or so weekly.
Being able to do an expense report, order samples, send an email while humming down the road with the car doing the inputs sounds amazing.

Quite a few...and there is plenty of time in the day to complete everything you need to do. I don't like it when I'm riding with others, much less with a computer in control. You're at that stage that can be explained by the old and young bull at the top of the hill. You heard it? grin
