Easy. Cut in half and take the pit out. Spring cinnamon and brown sugar on the pit side, and put the pit side down on the grill. Cook until it has good grill marks, usually 4ish minutes. Turn over so that the pit side is facing up, and then drizzle melted butter and honey over them so that it accumulates where the pit was. Cook for another few minutes and take off the grill. Serve with cool whip or vanilla ice cream and enjoy.

Wal-Marks in Moulton had one marked $30 or so dollars down. I can't remember the price though. I want to say in the neighborhood of $240.

The "rollback" price is $247, down from reg price of $288. Tempting.....

For those that have a Char-Griller Akorn how hard is it to get the coals lit? It's been a long time since I fooled with a charcoal grill

I fill up a chimney, spray a newspaper sheet with cooking oil (paper towel with cooking oil works as well), light it up, wait 10 minutes, dump it in the grill, throw a few more handfuls onto the lit coals, wait 10 minutes for it to level out, and start cooking. Irishguy uses cotton swabs soaked in rubbing alcohol to light his, some guys use a MAP torch or electric coil starter to start theirs. There are many ways to skin that cat. Just don't use lighter fluid.

I use the burner on my fish cooker to get it started. Dump charcoal into the chimney and put on top of fish cooker burner and light it up. In just a few minutes the coals are ready and it never tastes like lighter fluid.
