We've got one thays a 2001 model with the 8.1 and allison. It gets 9-10mpg loaded or empty around town and 12-13 on the interstate thats whrn we drove it Georgia. My grandpaw bought ot in 2005 with 10k on it it currently only has 81k on it

Those are some cold hard real numbers. Not like the "27 mpg" some onboard computers claim in half ton trucks. And folks believe that computer.

With gas forecasted to stay cheap for quite some time and if you didn't drive much or very far that could be a great buy regardless of the fuel mileage.
