You have any documentation for that? My son is 11, and isn't remotely near that number.

I think the state of Alabama requires 4 vaccinations for kids to start school....DTaP, Polio, Chickenpox, and MMR. Yes, some are required to be given in "courses", but nowhere near what you're suggesting.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

youre misunderstanding what I'm saying first off. I didnt say they get 60 shots. some of those you listed have 3 or 4 different doses in each shot. I guarantee you they didnt let your kid start with only 4 shots either. no school system I have ever seen anyway. they get a hepatitis b shot the first week of their life. I'd love to know whats causing such a great risk of hep b to newborns.

The document that jbc linked, proved that much more than 4 shots are required.

Did you not read my other post, which states exactly what jbc linked? Here it is, from above...

DTaP requires 5 shots from birth to 18 years

Polio requires 4 shots from birth to 18 years

MMR requires 2 doses from birth to 18 years

Chickenpox requires 2 doses from birth to 18 years

That's 13 required shots over the course of 18 years.

It's up to you to decide if you want to do all the others.

The Mrs. says you're correct hunterbuck, however , your timeline is incorrect, they don't stretch them till age 18. Some colleges require meningitis as well.

She says it can get complicated , like a jigsaw puzzle, when folks don't get them on time.

She asked why are a bunch of men discussing immunizations on a deer hunting site? laugh Good question .

Some colleges also require a hepatitis vaccine. I think it's hep C.
