Both my children were vaccinated, but it's not something that comes totally without risk. Children die every year as a direct result of those vaccinations. I'm glad my children weren't part of that statistic.
According to the CDC the chance of that is less than one out of a million.
It's only a small percentage if it isnt your child. Look, as a parent you can't not get your child those vaccinations..it's a must. That being said, the cdc numbers are horse schit. It only takes about 5mins on the web, to discover its a much larger number.
So, we used to see over 200,000 cases a year in the U.S. of pertussis before the vaccine. After the vaccine a case is rarely seen, until recently. Why not knock out the disease so those kids and adults with low immune systems don't acquire these diseases. I would like to think that my son's life matters too.
