I don't think any assistant who has never been a head coach can fall into the "home run" category. That is not to say he doesn't have a good pedigree and is a promising hire that may turn them around, but a home run hire, in most people's minds is a sure thing that has done it before and is likely to replicate the success he's had in the past.

So is he going to do a Kirby and stay with AU through the regionals? I'm kidding, no one expects him to. He's got to get to work at his new job.
