Governor Riley signed a law into effect that requires employers to pay for time missed to serve for jury duty. It is supposed to pay the difference in what you're paid to serve and what you would be paid for a normal 40 hours work week. You won't get paid for missed overtime, and you're screwed if you're self-employed or have side jobs. I'm 99% sure of this, because we had to start paying folks here. Yep - signed a form for one of my employees. The company paid him for performing his civic duties.
