My brother is wanting to load some tss for his s.b.e. 2, with rhino .665 choke. He is still a little scared of the 9's being so small. He also is looking at 3 1/2 versus 3" that I am trying to talk him into. Anybody have any experience with these in 7, 8, or 9's?

I'm getting a 220/200 (10/20). I know it is over choked though, I need to pick up a few more open chokes to get the pattern payload total numbers up. I'd like to get the numbers up around high 400's or right around there and even the pattern out a little. As it is now, I can throw a better pattern with a 1-5/8oz 20ga load of 8's.

This is what I tell anyone starting out with TSS. 20's to me are a lot easier to set up and 90% of guys that start shooting TSS end up toting a 20 or smaller anyway.

My SBE 1 does 240 with 2 oz of 8s and a .670 PG choke. After using tss about 10 years, I'm convinced that there is no real reason to use a 12 gauge, and I have probably used mine for the last time. I'm about to pull the Holosight off mine and go back to using it for a dove gun. I'm also convinced that 9s are better than 8s, even if you wanna take long shots. The pattern density is what's important; even the 10s are showing plenty of penetration at insane ranges.

I'm gonna set up my sxs with 9s in the tight barrel and 10s in the open barrel.

7.5s in a 12 gauge. 3" or 3.5". 7.5s shoot good in my 20 gauge, as well.

83% of all statistics are made up.
