Fished Mud Creek in Hollywood from daylight until around 11:00. Pink & chartreuse were the colors that worked best.30 fish. All white crappie 12-16 inches long. Had 17 throwbacks. The bite was really aggressive. Wind was brutal getting back to the ramp. I've only fished for shellcrackers up there and that's the narrowest SERIOUS channel I've ever traveled. I swear when I was there if I got 2 feet outside a buoy, I was on rough, shallow bottom. A couple of obviously local guys came screaming out of there like they were running a slalom course at 50mph.
Get the F out of the BATFE. The F is guaranteed by the US Constitution. Those other letters are not.

That is cool. I read an article somewhere the other day on this very topic. I think I was reading up on Bandit cranks and came across an item said you could use them for crappie.

Great mess of fish. I have trolled a few hundred miles on Martin in the fall and never caught a crappie, using a 300. Just don't understand.

The harder I practice, the luckier I get.
