Linda Derry has put a lifetime of work getting the place in order there. Its a shame that more local money doesn't help out. A lot of local people do what they can to help, but it is never enough. As far as local gov'ts, the county is busy trying to pave roads and figure out how to feed prisoners when the CCW permit money dries up. If Hollywood was properly sued for exploiting the history Selma to make money...give them a taste of their own medicine...if you get what I am saying. Its a shame all those movies were made about Selma and none of the local people and community of Selma ever saw a dime of it... Actually, the movie "Selma" had very little actually filmed in Selma. To be fair to Ophrah, she did donate a large amount of money to local charities and schools. However, I'm not in the demographic to see the benefits.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.
