have bought a new sight the past few years with a level on it and noticed that you canted your bow? I did, but I have always shot good groups and such that way. Is that something I should change or live with. It feels awkward to me to shoot with it level after shooting that way so long. I actually noticed this last year and just didn't pay any attention to my bubble. It's hardly enough to notice. I was just wandering what some of yall do as far as your hunting setups.

I have a bubble level but don't pay it any attention as long as I am grouping and hitting my targets. I'm not concerned with it.

It's natural for a right handed shooter to cant the bow to the right. If your sight has a second axis adjustment, you can set it so the bubble is showing level while your holding with a cant. When I set my competition bow up for Buckmasters I set the 2nd axis on my sight by shooting at 20 yards then at 60 yards. If my groups go left or right at 60 yards, I adjust my second axis. Once my windage is the same at 20 and 60 I put a piece of tape over my bubble to cover it up. This saves me a couple of seconds per shot because the Buckmaster rounds are fast pace. This only works because we are shooting on level ground all of the time. On my regular 3D setup my sight level is set dead level with the riser because in most cases we aren't shooting on level ground. My hunting set up is done the same way because you never know what kind of position you're going to get in trying to shoot out of an elevated stand.

I put one on this year. I did notice that I had a slight cant. It didn't take too long to work through it though.

interesting question. I have one new also. I also wondered - the bubble is on the sight, but, is the sight designed to fit the bow perfectly as to level the cams. Is the site bracket/ rest, and bow all level if the bubble is level - cause mine doens't "feel" as good when level either. But, bad habits are also hard to break, right.

Good points and info Shaw. I'll just not pay any attention to mine cause it don't have a second axis adjustment. This is just one of the hundreds of things running thru my head while on stand today.

I try to look at it often while practicing, especially at longer shots. I don't look at it when I'm drawn down on a deer though, I won't shoot a deer past 35yd and it would take an awful cant to mess up at that kinda yardage.

ha, I have a bubble level on mine and just because I am ocd about stuff I always look at it when practicing.. I don't look at it when shooting at a deer, got too much to think about. My old bow I could tell a difference if I used the level or not but with the bow I shoot now I don't notice it.

Got a bubble and don't pay it any attention, I don't shoot random dots out to 80 or 90 yards in the woods. laugh
