Why don't all the coaches at each university get together and make a blanket set of rules and punishment. Can NOT cover it all but could get a few making it even for everyone, players know the results to their actions, and removes the coaches from the equation. Suspend by game percentages. Of course, I don't think anything should be done to any athlete until they are found guilty in court or a plea is made. Felonies would have to be viewed differently. Can't have an accused murderer hanging around waiting on a trial. I realize there is ALOT of holes in this idea but they could figure it out. Some coaches only want to recruit kids with character. Others want to recruit thugs and turn their life around, or turn a blind eye, whichever is more convenient. The majority of coaches fall somewhere in the middle of this spectrum, but the variance is too great to expect them to agree to this.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.
