I took a job for fun a couple years ago but made it clear I was retired. When I didn't answer my personal phone a couple times, they handed me a phone when I showed up and said "keep it with you". I laughed. I try to check it at least once a week whether I need to or not.
And cameras everywhere is the best thing ever. It trumps every first person eye witness account because it is accurate. The knowledge that cameras are everywhere keeps dishonest people from doing sorry things.
