Can anything beat sitting on the bank of a farm pond catching Bream and an occasional Small Bass? No loud outboards, no Marine Police checking your life jackets. Just the sweet smell of Bream beds and a warm spring day. Will Scott and I spent Saturday afternoon dragging in around 40 Bluegills and Shellcrackers (keepers) and a bunch of little ones too.
Sunday Will and Scott played with the 1/4-1/2 pound Bass with a small spinner. While I watched, gave advice (mostly ignored) and sipped on an adult beverage with our worries of running afoul of the law.
Will got a great lesson in cleaning fish and we have the makings of a great fish fry next weekend.
Life is good this Holy Week.
