Sorry for the late post, spotty cell service this year. Hunted the back of this cut corn field this afternoon. Had a buck at 15 yards that had 5 pts on the right and 2 (crab craw) on the left. Had a pretty good 8 pt bumping does around the field that was a possible shooter but never got quite close enough. Going to try it again in the morning. Food is the key right now. Most fields have been plowed under, making hunting a little harder this year. Got a couple more spots to ch
eck tomorrow.

Back in the stand I hunted yesterday afternoon. Beautiful calm 30°morning today. So far I've seen 6 does and 3 bucks. Small 8pt, 3 pt and spike. The bucks are really cruising and bumping does around just need the bigger ones to start.

I moved up the field 100 yards or so this afternoon. I hung a loc-on on the side of the field where I saw the good buck last night. Letting my friend sit there hopefully he can see him tonight and get a shot. Im trying to catch the deer coming off this hillside on there way to the field, kinda thick not alot of shooting lanes.

Pretty slow this afternoon only saw a spike and doe. Hopefully things will get kicked of soon and see some shooters.

Quite an eventful morning. Going into an area that im familiar with at daybreak I pull up to the alfalfa field and there is a doe and probably a 2.5 year old. They run off I grab mystuff and head across the field. The woods are torn up with scrapes and itlooks awesome. Well I can't find the stand! As im standing there I hear a deer running. I thought well spooked another one. I hear a grunt and turns out it was a good shooter about 150 yards away. Nock and arrow and wait but he never comes up my way. I ease out going to go back and hang a stand there. Head to another stand walk up on 3 does feeding. Nock and arrow and sneak up and there's the forth doe looking at me....off they go. I get in the truck haul butt to another farm to sit in a crp field where we jumped a couple of deer before. See two deer in the neighbors field eating, get in the stand, snap this pic and in the upper right hand corner two does are feeding under an oak tree. At 8:50 a spk crosses the field to my left and ten minutes later a doe crosses. They're moving good this morning.

Hung a stand at lunch and went back and hunted it this afternoon. Had a 120" 8 point come out about 5:15 and then saw a real good (140") 10 point at 5:45. The 10 point never got close enough and eased off. Left me bow in the tree and im going back in the morning. Talk to several people today that report alot of chasing going on now.
