I've had some birds showing up for the last two weeks at one of my little plots. Like clock work they have been there daily. Pulled my card today and Thursday at 318 the neighbors dog ran them out of there. Needless to say they haven't been back. I know it's only been two days but they were literally living in this area and now nothing. I know bobcats and coyotes scare turkeys all the time so I wouldn't think they would have left from that. Do you guys think they have totally changed their routine and moved out the area or do you think the dog scared them that bad and they will be back? I just want them to stick around another two weeks and don't want them to be gone.

Them turkeys are gone for good! Heck if any new ones come through now and smell where that dogs been they'll just keep on moving also! Best to just never hunt there again!

I had same thing happen but thankfully the turkey showed right back up the next day after I had a picture of a dog in my plot

Well it's been two days and they haven't showed back up. The dog ruined several deer hunts which made me angry but I take turkey a little more seriously than deer so I will not be as lenient. Repeat offender. Ball of hamburger meat with a razor blade inside. Bye bye.

I keep my dog at home and respect my neighbors. I have no problems killing their dog if they don't return the favor.
My opinions and comments are my own. They do not reflect the position or political opinions of Aldeer or any of the Aldeer administration.

My Dad use to catch and put them in the back of his pickup truck and take them for a ride and drive up to the neighbors house at dinner time. He would blow the horn and they would come out on the front porch...He would ask them "Is this your dog". Neighbor says "Yes, I sure appreciated you bringing him home". Dad "Do you want me to bring him home every time I find him on my property". Neighbor "Yes, please, thank you". Dad "The next time he will be laying down in the back of my truck". Neighbor "Whoa, I understand now".
