12 yards broadside, possible quartering slightly to me. Clean pass through with bright red blood covering the arrow, and bright red blood coming out good on the trail for about 50- 60 yards. All of the sudden the blood stops and can't find any more anywhere. He stopped at on spot and the the pile of blood had bubbles in it. I thought i hit him perfect. The only thing that I know could of happened was a liver hit on the left side and exit out the guts and the guts plugged the hole up. Thanks for the help.

Hang in there! You know you hit him well. Maybe give him a little time. You've got plenty of daylight left. All the signs sound just right. Let us know what you find.

Did you push him or did you allow it to lay down and die ? I know its hard to wait.

I shot him last night and waited and hour and a half before looking because I thought it was a perfect double lung. After the blood quite and we couldnt find anymore we backed out and looked for 4 hours this morning with no sign. I think he made a turn that I didnt expect and went across a field to another bottom. I am going to check it this afternoon.

guts filled the hole that deer is dead somewhere 100 yards from last blood. You need my dog!

Walk circles you will find where he stopped or brushed up against a tree.

No deer found yet so I am just hoping the buzzards will lead me to him.

I have seen many a deer go to the nearest water to lay down and die.
