Whatever's at hand: Deep Woods Off, permetherin, Sawyer's, Deet. I apply it liberally and also use a Thermacell.

I'm bad about not using anything because skeeters rarely bother me. I do have issues with ticks every now and again.

On opening day last season I found one buried in the bend of my arm so deep that only his back legs were sticking out. Yekrut and N2deer watched me take out a pocket knife and cut him out. That critter had to go. Had a dang hole in my arm all season because of that crap. Never found another one on me the rest of the season.

Permethrin. Spray everything with it and let it dry.

Permethrin on my clothes, Rhyno suit under them and a thermacell lit for mosquitoes.

I had Lyme disease froma tick once..im not doing that again.

My wife got Lyme real bad from a tick bite... bed ridden, 102 fever...could hardly move. Scary crap.

If a $60 dollar net suit helps me im all for it.

I treat my clothes with Sawyer's (permethrin) at the beginning of the season and don't wash them during the season unless I absolutely have to. Will also spray Off Deep Woods on exposed skin before I go out.

I take my thermacell too, but I won't swear that I can tell it does any good. I've actually watched mosquitos hover within a few inches of it, with a fresh pad and butane cylinder, and with a faint smoke actually visibly coming out of it. Tried to take a picture once but couldn't see the mosquito in the pic. Literally maybe 5-6" above the thermacell, which was laying on the ground next to me.

Thermacell is amazing for mosquitos. Otherwise something with a lot of deet. Most of what they make now has a low percentage of deet.
