In all seriousness, this is what I would do as an investigator if I got the call. Like Doekiller said, there is no real evidence of a body other than trespassers and unusual items. Before I started ordering digging, I'd make arrangement for a cadaver dog to run through the area. There are not too many of those floating around. Sometimes they are booked up for a few days. If the dog hits, go to step two and break out the shovels. If the dog doesn't hit, go home, drink a beer and laugh at all the conspiracy theorists on Aldeer.

You need to know, or at least have a strong suspicion of it being a body before digging. If a dog hits on something, you need to do a forensic dig so as to not damage evidence. One of those makes Skinny's digs look like kids playing in a sandbox. It is not practical, nor a good use of resources to do this without an idea of what you may find.
