I watched it for the first time the other day. It's a weird movie. Not exactly what I expected after the drill Sgt. gets whacked. I've seen the Movie probably 25 times and I have yet to finish the movie. Once boot camp is over I kinda lose interest

^^ it has its high and low points after camp. the scene with the door gunner in the helo is priceless..."you need to do a story on me...'why should we do a story on you'...cuz I'm so f&^% good" While rafter-man was sittin over there trying his best not to puke.

I've said this before, but I will say it again. Probably the most accurate depiction of Marine Boot Camp I have seen in a movie. My experience at Parris Island was actually very similar to that.

Ol dude that played Pvt Pyle played a good role in the latest Magnificent Seven. He was excellent as Kingpin in Netflix's Daredevil.

Ol dude that played Pvt Pyle played a good role in the latest Magnificent Seven. Indeed. Glad I watched that one, even though the reviews were poor.

If I'm not mistaken, they hired R Lee Ermey as a consultant and when they saw him act out a scene for an example, they hired him to play the part.

my favorite charector of his was when he played the edgar bug in men in black.
i didnt like his charector in mag 7. It reminded me to much of the dentist dude in True grit(new one).

I attended the Defense Information School for public affairs and military journalism after Army Basic Training
Me and private joker shared the same MOS. (46Q) And as you would expect, everyone in my unit called me private Joker.
They filmed a set at DINFOS but it didn't make the movie.
