I just said I came out with a five point - I didn't say anything about killing a deer. I could have easily though, I had one just a tad larger than this walk by at about ten feet. Once he got where he could smell me, he looked hard at me six or seven times as he casually strolled off. The neighbors tearing around in the back yard with a 4 wheeler they were working on kicked him up out the thickest bed ever (tangle of tree blow downs) about 40 yards from their back property line and about 100 yards down the hill from where I was sitting on the ground.

I thought I had found a shed at first. It was about twenty yards from the big old scrape.

If you look closely at the brow tines, they have been sawed off, not chewed off. I'm sure there is some sort of story behind this skull other than a young buck dying in the woods. No other bones laying around at all. I bet somebody's dog drug it off into the woods before they could finish harvesting antler for some unknown use.
