Which do you guys use and prefer. Ive only hunted in one maybe two or 3 times in my life and it was one my dad bought in the 90's. Looking to purchase one to try and get out there in the crap weather this weekend. Rut is on in my area and after this weekends mishap i NEED to be in the woods. I will be bow hunting out of it 99% of the time. Thanks in advance fellas.

I own a ground blind and hunted out of it 3 times, the best thing to do is let it sit in the area u gonna hunt for a week or more so deer get use to it and they will come in close and check it out.

Just got the 2 person one from gander mtn. Think it was on sale for 149$ no Velcro windows which is nice and it's very roomy for one person. Can fit two people but it does get a little tight. Also cut me a bunch of little pine saplings and brushed it in nice. It's got the loops for holding your brush. Took the deer a couple days To get used to it but now they don't pay it much attention.

I bought one so I could once again bowhunt. The first thing I learned is that the arrow length makes it very hard to rotate to shoot out a side window. Get the biggest you can. Mine is big but still hard to rotate and not catch the broadhead on the side. The other thing I learned is that they are hot, especially on a day with little wind.
I bowhunted though for the first time in three years. Didn't get a shot, but I was there trying. Not as much fun a s hunting with a climber, but it beat sitting in a shooting house AGAIN, watching a food plot.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

^^^^^This. And if you will be hunting by yourself, get a 2-man. They all seem to run a size small. I have a 2-man and couldn't imagine getting two people into it.

I have an Ameristep doghouse blind. Hunted out of it for the first time over the weekend and with the warm and humid air it would sweat at night and drip on you in the early morning. No big deal but when it first happened I was wondering where the water was coming from. If I buy another one I'm going to get one with the floor in it so to keep unwanted guests like snakes out of it.

I thought about the floor issue as well, especially with the warm weather. I wouldnt want to shat my pants prior to a hunt crawling into a blind with a snake in it.

I have the Primos Club and Club XL blinds. Not expensive - about $100-$150. Club is a tight fit for 2 but the XL model is plenty big enough for 2. The windows have cover which zips down or can be held by elastic loops. The window also have a mesh covering held in by Velcro. I take the mesh out as I think Velcro is one of the worst things to bring into the woods. When buying hunting clothing, I always check to make sure there is no Velcro for the pockets, etc. I hate that stuff.

I use them when I don't wanna get rained on too much. I hunt a lot of public land and have set them up and see & killed deer that day out of them. Just gotta have a good backdrop.

Another trick. Use artificial Christmas tree limbs to brush it in. Most ends have hooks/bends and they will stay where you lash them in any storm.
