I've killed 2 bobcats and heard them. I knew right away that it wasn't a bobcat. Bobcats tend to be quiet when in the mountains while moving. They will jump from rock to rock and can really sneak up on you. This was a definite walking in the leaves sound and was not a deer. It was on the Jacobs tract.

Not probably. Definitely. I've heard it and it will send you into another place. It will freeze your blood.

I had a buddy wound one 15-20 years ago. When I got to the field you could hear that thing cutting up in the woods. It was definitely a spooky sound.

I heard that scream twice. Once here near Guntersville back in the 70's and then again on Jacob's mountain back when I was a member there in B&G Hunting Club. It sounded like a woman screaming in extreme pain, but similar to a bird only there is no way that a bird could get that much volume!

I heard what I assume was a Bob cat years ago when I was about 16. It was nearly dark and I heard what sounded like a scream or maybe like a peacock. I was sitting on a log and it was nearly dark and it was close. I hid behind the log and got propped up ready to shoot. I was ready to do in a peacock but as close as the screams were I never seen it. Told my dad later and he said probably a Bob cat.

A couple years later I was checking some sign in a spot so thick you couldn't hardly walk. I heard the craziest growling screaming crazy noise I ever heard. I had my gun but it was so thick you couldn't shoot if it was beside you. I was doing my best to get out of it. I just knew whatever it was was gonna get up on me and with it so thick wouldn't be able to do a thing about it smile what it was I have no idea but when you've seen as many ungodly scary movies as most of us did growing up your mind can make it into whatever it wants smile

It just takes a little effort to confirm them. Here's how.
