Well, didn't Chuckie say we were going to do things because other states where doing them?? We were like 1 of 3 on something that didn't do it a certain way.

Hope y'all don't end up like Louisiana. We have 10 different zones with seasons starting September 15 thru the end of Feb. some have doe days, no doe days and doe can be shot everyday of the season. The whole state is still just 6 deer a season. 4 does and 2 bucks or 3 and 3. The area I'm in changes so much I have to check regs every time before I go hunt to make sure nothing changed.

No wonder so many folks come from Louisiana to Alabama to hunt.

Those maps have got to be hell on somebody who is color-blind, which is about 20% of the male population.

Y'all see that green section where Cameron and Jeff Davis parishes meet. That's me. At least it the same regs now. It used to be different season dates for each parish. I live right on that line and could hunt both seasons. Lol

As far as buck zones, we'll have one big , 4 month long one because that's what the high fence owners want. We'll prolly have 20 doe zones though. Thank you Chuck smirk.

Aint nobody in Alabama can speak French which is why you do not have the problem of Alabamians jacking up your lease prices.

Lived my whole live in Ala until 3 years ago. Now live in Tn. There is a license up here for every weapon, week and piece of land you want to hunt. Too damn confusing and costly. Thought I would get out the Ala reg book for this year since I'm planning to hunt some back in Ala next 2 months. DAMN if it's not starting to resemble the one for TN.

Why not separate high fences?? Make the deer the property of the land owner like a fenced in cow. Let them do what they want. If they kill them all in the fence, well, that fence keeps deer out also. They can kill bucks or does 365 days a year. Release the WFF from dealing with them except for imports which would protect the states deer from disease.

Y'all want your mind blown? Take a look at Colorado's hunting zones map:

Exhibit A for less government and fewer regulations to help Joe Average Hunter have an enjoyable, less stressful experience.

Hill no. I spend more now than I should hunting. Make me pay for a doe no way. Need to limit certain areas on harvest, especially private land next to public land. Would enforce public land more and offer better management practices.
Florida has a two week or less rifle doe season in one county. Yet, in an area I hunted doe's were shot all the time were you never could see more than two or three tops on a hunt. People going to do as they want that eat venison as only meat. Could see a three deer limit per person on certain public land needed some years.

Florida started that those folks gone crazy. No way it should cost more than $20 bucks to shoot one deer regardless. You just stopping a lot of commerce by charging outrageous fees. Hotel industry losing big time on mark up on license and fees. I seen a place in Tennessee I would like to hunt, but no way for all those fees am I going to spend $200 on travel plus all those fees. They can keep their deer.
