I Many years ago a friend killed a deer on the place we both hunt that is the biggest we've ever killed. It is an 11 pt that scored 173 typical and some change. Just short of qualifying for the B&C books. Anyways a couple of days later, while I was eating lunch at Hancock's a couple of guys asked about it. I had a picture and showed them. I didn't know that our neighboring landowner, who is well known for tying one on every evening, was sitting behind me. Later that night, somehow he tracked me down to my girlfriend's (now wife) parent's house by phone. His speech was slurred and he was obviously lit. He was fussing about not telling anyone about that deer because we will never be able to keep poachers away. He said they have been letting him go so he could be a breeder. Said they named him Fred. All I could do is respond "Well Fred's dead." [img:center] [/img] Fred is on the right. Hey that T-shirt! I remember watching Northern Exposure when I was a kid
Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many!
